How "Dykros - ethno resort" was created?

Hello, we are Eglė, Gediminas, Vakarė, Perkūnas and Ainė Tamulynai – the founders of “Dykros”.

The story of “Dykros” began back in 2015. At that time, we were still living in Vilnius and were immersed in and doing professional work. Eglė is a contemporary craftswoman-creator and works mainly on the design of houses and green spaces and is engaged in creative crafts. Gediminas is a communication specialist and for many years was CEO of the creative studio “Wide Wings”.
Often after a busy week we would return to our parents village and see how well our minds calm down here, we recover and gain strength for the coming week. So in 2015 we decided to build a weekend house, on our native land, next to a swamp. We started work in 2016 and finished it in 2018.

In 2020, we temporarily decided to move to the village and never left it.
In the same year, our family business began, which began with the first Tauras hut. Slowly but steadily, over the years, we have grown Dykras into a cozy place of rest, offering an escape from the hot city sidewalks to a refreshing corner of the village. Here you will have to enjoy the early rays of the sun, wade through the dewy grass, observe the starry sky and listen to the sounds of the never-sleeping living nature. We apologize for these pleasures!

We are not stopping yet, and there is still a lot of unfinished work in Dykros. We promise that every time you come, you will see the spaces that are constantly being renewed, until Dykras becomes the way we created it in our dreams!

Dykros means uninhabited or difficult-to-access territories among the Skalvian tribes

Many have heard of the Skalvian tribes, but do not know exactly where they lived. So we hasten to announce that “Dykros” is located here, in the ethnic lands of the Skalvi, near Tauragė. We invite you to Dykros.
